I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Robert Wolfe.  I was born in New York City in 1937 and received a PhD in History from Harvard University in 1965.  I taught history off and on in the United States for 35 years before retiring to Israel where I now live.  I was also an active participant in the Movement of the 1960s.  Here is a picture of me standing near the Israeli border with Syria.

I am the author of eight books and innumerable articles.  An advance copy of my latest book, Being Time, is available to anyone who sincerely intends to read the book and comment on it with the understanding that some or all of their comments, if favorable, may be used for the purpose of promoting the book.

Most of my books and articles are concerned with Jewish history and its relationship to world history.  Standard accounts of world history systematically downplay the contribution of the Jewish people to the development of such progressive cultural ideals as social equality, rational thought and national self-determination.  They also fail to come to grips with the massive anti-Semitism inherent in the Christian and Muslim religions, which is in turn mainly responsible for the failure to integrate Jewish history into world history.  Recognition of what we Jews have contributed and what we have endured is a necessary precondition for a truthful, realistic understanding of both world history and contemporary politics.
